Elche has a large number of beaches that represent one of its main tourist attractions. Year after year they receive the recognition of the European Union with Blue Flags that give them a deserved international prestige and give a good account of their quality.
Among its more than 9 km of beaches, especially highlight the Playa del Altet, the northernmost, in the hamlet of the same name. An almost virgin beach that is surrounded by dunes and without nearby buildings.
Continuing towards the south with the first buildings, the Playa de Arenales del Sol begins. An urban beach that has a 3-kilometer promenade with all services such as bars, restaurants, kiosks, shops ...
At the end of the walk of Arenales begins the beach of Carabassi, also sandy, which is accessed by wooden walkways. It has a nudist area.
The other three beaches are located south of Santa Pola, a municipality embedded in the coast of Elche. They are El Pinet, La Marina and Les Pesqueres - El Rebollo. The latter continues in the municipality of Guardamar del Segura.
The beaches of Elche are the best option for bathing and taking long walks along the edge of the sea or the dunes that flank it.
